چکیده
Titanium alloys are widely used in industry, especially (α+β)-alloys, among which Ti-6Al-4V alloy is the most popular one. Another common that often appears patents for titanium products Ti-4Al-3Mo-1V. Here, we investigate welded joints of (α+β)-alloy Ti-4Al-3Mo-1V obtained by friction stir welding (FSW) using a working tool made nickel-based heat-resistant ZhS6U. In addition, and with similar mechanical characteristics were considered. Mechanical tests showed had tensile strength greater than base metal. This result was achieved mode where axial load varied during process. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed change phase structure joint.

Study on the Joining of Titanium and Aluminum Dissimilar Alloys by Friction Stir Welding
Titanium alloy TC1 and Aluminum alloy LF6 were butt jointed and lap jointed by friction stir welding (FSW), and the influence of process parameters on formation of weld surface, cross-section morphology and strength were studied. The results show that, Titanium and Aluminum dissimilar alloy is difficult to be butt joined by FSW, and some defects such as cracks and grooves are easy to occur. Whe...
متن کاملFriction stir welding of dissimilar alloys – a perspective
Friction stir welding does not involve bulk melting of the components that are joined. This has inspired attempts to exploit it for joining materials which differ in properties, chemical composition or structure, and where fusion can lead to detrimental reactions. The purpose of this special issue of Science and Technology of Welding and Joining was to assess the status of friction stir welding...
متن کاملFriction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloys: A Review
Friction stir welding is a solid state joining process. High strength aluminum alloys are widely used in aircraft and marine industries. Generally, the mechanical properties of fusion welded aluminum joints are poor. As friction stir welding occurs in solid state, no solidification structures are created thereby eliminating the brittle and eutectic phases common in fusion welding of high streng...

in this paper, welding feasibility between aa1100, aa5050 and aa6082 aluminum alloys and a441 aisi steel by friction stir welding has been studied. mathematical analysis of the heat generation during process showed that the maximum temperature produced in aa6082 aluminum alloy and a441 aisi joint but heat distribution in aa1100 aluminum alloy was higher than the other alloys. the investigation ...
متن کاملLiquation Cracking of Dissimilar Aluminum Alloys during Friction Stir Welding
A liquation cracking mechanism of dissimilar Al alloys during the friction stir welding (FSW) is suggested in this study. To identify the mechanism, the precipitates were analyzed and Al-Mg-Cu phase diagrams were calculated. Electron backscattering diffraction (EBSD) analysis and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) were also conducted. In the same manner as constitutional liquation, at high hea...
